Students in the three sixth classrooms at Midway celebrated the completion of a a ten-week D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) course on Friday, February 3. The curriculum content has evolved since the program's inception in 1983, but the goal for students remains the same.
According to its website, "D.A.R.E. believes that if you can teach youth to make safe and responsible decisions, it will guide them to healthy choices, not only about drugs, but across all parts of their lives."
