This week-long celebration of the School Breakfast Program spreads awareness among parents and the community of the many benefits of school breakfast.
And for extra fun, Spokane Indians mascot Otto will be joining us for breakfast on Wednesday, March 15th!
According to the Food Research and Action Council, The School Breakfast Program provides "the opportunity to start the school day with a healthy meal they might not otherwise have access to. Students that eat school breakfast begin their day ready to learn—which is reflected in higher test scores and better classroom behavior, improved dietary intakes and reduced levels of food insecurity."
A nourished body leaves our students ready to learn!
