The animal food and toy drive was started by two fourth graders, Makenna Ritter and Kelly Rounds. They say they "wanted to help the Humane Society since they were in second grade." With the approval of Principal Josh Westermann, Kelly and Makenna created posters for the event and it took place through May. Kelly and Makenna delivered the donations to the Humane Society on June 7: 192 pounds of dog food, 80 cans of cat food and many collars, leashes, and animal toys. Thank you, Midway, for supporting such a worthy cause! And thanks to Kelly and Makenna for their leadership!
