MIDWAY PTO (Parent Teacher Organization)

Midway PTO Shark logoThe Midway PTO is a group of parents, teachers, and staff at Midway working together to enhance the educational opportunities for Midway students through fundraisers and family-centered activities. The PTO board consists of a President, President-Elect, Past-President Treasurer, Secretary and Volunteer Coordinator. We also have chairpeople to coordinate various PTO activities and fundraisers. Membership in PTO is open to all Midway parents and staff.
Obviously, in this unprecedented year, our usual community gatherings have not been possible. Still, along with the Midway staff we have (through virtual conferencing and the use of an extra classroom) been able to support and fund fantastic virtual events like the "Radical Rick" assembly and helped to fund the Midway Math Madness Night. We also set up PTO Dining Out nights that allow you to feed your family while also contributing to the Midway general operating budget for educational activities
We meet monthly via virtual conference and encourage you to check our PTO Facebook Page
for events.

Parent Volunteers
Volunteers are a very important part of Midway’s educational team. It takes an exceptional person to give his or her time and energy to help make our school stronger. Your caring enables us to work better and more productively, and your involvement brings to our students extra time and personal contact that are vital to their overall success. For each Midway Elementary student to reach his/her full educational, physical, emotional and social potential requires the commitment and involvement of all the members of the school community: students, staff, parents, grandparents, guardians, and other community volunteers and organizations.
Giving our kids the best education possible is an investment in the future of our community and nation. Thank you for recognizing this need and reaching out to help. We are glad you are here and we look forward to working with you for the benefit of our Midway Sharks!
