MIDWAY PTO (Parent Teacher Organization)
The Midway PTO
is a group of parents, teachers and staff at Midway working together to enhance the educational opportunities for Midway students through fundraisers and family-centered activities. The PTO board consists of a President, President-Elect, Past-President Treasurer, Secretary and Volunteer Coordinator. We also have chairpeople to coordinate various PTO activities and fundraisers. Membership in PTO is open to all Midway parents and staff.
Meetings are held in either the school cafeteria or library. Please see the PTO Meeting link for a schedule of this year's meetings. (Schedules are subject to change and these changes will be posted on our PTO Facebook Page)
Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend these meetings and become involved in PTO to assist the staff at Midway in providing high-quality education and generous quantities of fun for our children. Volunteers are a very important part of Midway’s educational team. It takes an exceptional person to give his or her time and energy to help make our school stronger. Your caring enables us to work better and more productively, and your involvement brings to our students extra time and personal contact that are vital to their overall success. For each Midway Elementary student to reach his/her full educational, physical, emotional and social potential requires the commitment and involvement of all the members of the school community: students, staff, parents, grandparents, guardians, and other community volunteers and organizations.
You are giving our students the powerful message that people care about them, while also teaching them the joy and obligation we all have in giving some of our precious time back to our community for worthwhile causes. The opportunities for your involvement at Midway are limitless. There are a lot of jobs available where you may work with students of all ages and abilities. You can work in the Volunteer Center, in the classroom, as a tutor, or in other unfilled areas. Whether you work one hour a week, one day a week, or one day on a special project - your efforts make a difference for students.
Giving our kids the best education possible is an investment in the future of our community and nation. Thank you for recognizing this need and reaching out to help. We are glad you are here and we look forward to working with you for the benefit of our children.
Once again, thank you for helping make a difference in the lives of students at Midway Elementary School.
